Fenerbahçe: Glorious Centenary Year

I don't know where to start... In 1907, in a house with a big garden near a lighthouse, some men decided to found a football team. They didn't know that it would be a team that's gonna have 25 millions of fans or maybe more. They named the team Fenerbahçe. The name can be divided into 2 words. Fener and bahçe. Fener means lighthouse, and bahçe means garden in turkish language. The football team turned into a sports club, which has many other branches, like basketball, volleyball, canoeing, boxing etc. In this year, the centenary year, Fenerbahçe won the championships in every sport except volleyball championship that is lost in the final game. For the centenary year there was a huge, great, awesome, unbelievable celebration in the stadium of FB.
There were a lot of light shows, and some historic parts, things that symbolise Fenerbahçe. It was just simply great. Here are some photos from the celebration.

I don't remember how I became a fan of this club, it was probably about my dad. He was a fan too but not such a crazy one like me. Sometimes I get angry to the team and act like I don't care the games they play. But in fact, I care it. I'm like a capricious lover... doh!

This year also some chants are made for Fenerbahçe. I'll write about 2 of them. First one is made by a famous singer called Kıraç.

The second one is from a punk band called Athena. They are great fans of Fenerbahçe.
